Swap
As a founding designer of Swap, I played a critical role in creating a mobile application that reimagines currency exchange by connecting users directly to one another. I led the end-to-end design process, from concept to launch, crafting a seamless user experience that eliminates the high fees typically associated with currency exchange stations in airports and hub cities.
Exchange Requests
Exchanging currency through traditional methods often involves high fees, inconvenient locations, and limited options, leading to unfavorable rates and security risks. These challenges make it difficult for users to get a fair deal and access currency when and where they need it.
Swap enables users to directly exchange currency with each other, cutting out middlemen, offering better rates, and providing greater convenience and security. This solution enables transparent, cost-effective transactions anytime and anywhere.
Bidding on Requests
The exchanger bidding on exchange requests benefits from this model by gaining access to a larger pool of potential customers, allowing them to offer competitive rates and attract more business. They can set their own exchange terms, giving them flexibility to adjust rates based on demand or supply, and often operate with lower overhead costs compared to traditional exchange agencies.
Additionally, by being part of a peer-to-peer platform, they can manage transactions securely and efficiently, building a reputation and trust within the community, potentially leading to repeat business and higher earnings.
